Raising Money for the Ottawa Heart Institute

The Event - August 17th, 2019

We hope you can join us for a lovely day at Stanley Park in Ottawa to raise money for the Ottawa Heart Institute. There will be a 3km walk starting at 10am and fun silent auction. All money going directly to help the Ottawa Heart Institute continue do the amazing work they do.

Along with the fun 3km walk through the beautiful Stanley Park, we will be having a BBQ. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be flipping on the grill, there will be drinks and snacks included too.

The BBQ is included with the 3km Walk fee. Not doing the walk? No problem, just donate 10 dollars to the link below you and you too can enjoy some yummy BBQ grub.

We are happy you have chosen to register for the 3k walk to raise money for the Ottawa Heart Institute.

3km Walk

Your paid walk entry will provide you the 3k walk, and loot bag. It will also get you a free entry to the bbq that follows the walk.

Prices are as follows:

Adults (18+) - $20 per adult

Child (5-17) - $15 per adult

Child (0-4) - free

Just the BBQ

Price is as follows:

Everyone - $10 per person

Fees can be paid in person on the day of the event (cash). Event fees will be waived by participants making a donation equivalent to the cost of the event to the Ottawa Heart Institute directly through this link only - www.donate.ottawaheart.ca/goto/markpelletier.

Anyone who donate an additional amount will be entered into a draw to win a special grand prize.

What's this all about?

We are raising funds in support of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation on behalf of Mark. Mark overcame many struggles while under incredible care and expertise of the Institute.

From the initial onset of his symptoms to his final days, the treatment made available to him, allowed him to enjoy a full and comfortable lifestyle for many years. Sadly Mark passed on August 29th 2018 but remained upbeat and positive to the very end. Mark's passion for life, for his family, his friends was evident by the way he lived.

He was a kind loving, caring human being. He is greatly missed by all.

I know he would be 100% behind our efforts to raise funds for the Heart Institute and would gladly do his part to encourage everyone to raise money for such a great cause.
